Effective date: June 08, 2026
Last updated: June 08, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and processed through the website godsorama.com in connection with the GODS-O-RAMA project.
At the current stage of the project, we only collect email addresses from people who voluntarily subscribe to receive updates about GODS-O-RAMA, including news, development updates, launch information, crowdfunding-related updates, and marketing communications.
1. Data Controller
The current data controller is:
Zsolt Hajdu
Szeged, Hungary
Email: gdpr@godsorama.com
Full postal contact details are available upon legitimate legal or data protection request.
For any privacy-related request, question, unsubscribe request, or data deletion request, you can contact us at: gdpr@godsorama.com
2. What Personal Data We Collect
At this stage, we collect only the following personal data:
- your email address.
Depending on the technical setup of the website or email subscription system, we may also store limited technical information related to your subscription, such as:
- the date and time of subscription;
- confirmation status, if double opt-in is used;
- unsubscribe status;
- email delivery or engagement data, once an email marketing platform is used;
- technical logs required for security, fraud prevention, or proof of consent.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.
3. Why We Collect Your Data
We collect and process your email address for the following purposes:
- to send updates about the GODS-O-RAMA project;
- to notify you about the development and launch of the game;
- to inform you about a future Kickstarter, Gamefound, or similar crowdfunding campaign;
- to send marketing emails related to GODS-O-RAMA;
- to manage newsletter subscriptions, unsubscribe requests, and consent records;
- to comply with legal obligations related to data protection and proof of consent.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
The legal basis for processing your email address for newsletters and marketing communications is your consent.
By submitting your email address through the subscription form, you agree that we may use your email address to send you GODS-O-RAMA-related updates and marketing communications.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email, if available, or by contacting us at gdpr@godsorama.com.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. Email Marketing Platforms and Service Providers
At the beginning, the email addresses may be stored and managed directly by the current data controller, Zsolt Hajdu.
Later, we may transfer the email list to an email marketing service provider, such as Mailchimp or a similar platform, in order to manage subscriptions, send newsletters, automate campaigns, and handle unsubscribe requests.
Such service providers may process personal data on our behalf as data processors. We will only use service providers that provide appropriate data protection safeguards and contractual commitments.
If the selected email marketing provider stores or processes data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by applicable data protection law.
6. Future Transfer to a Company
The GODS-O-RAMA project may later be operated by a company or legal entity created for the purpose of managing the game, the crowdfunding campaign, sales, marketing, production, or related business activities.
If such a company is established, your email address and related subscription records may be transferred from Zsolt Hajdu to that company.
In that case, the company may become the new data controller, or may otherwise take over the management and storage of the email list. The transfer would only take place for the same or closely related purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as GODS-O-RAMA project updates, crowdfunding updates, launch information, and marketing communications.
Before or at the time of such transfer, we will take reasonable steps to inform subscribers about the new data controller and any relevant changes to this Privacy Policy.
You will continue to have the right to unsubscribe, withdraw your consent, request deletion, or exercise your data protection rights.
7. How Long We Store Your Data
We will store your email address until one of the following occurs:
- you unsubscribe;
- you withdraw your consent;
- you request deletion of your data;
- the GODS-O-RAMA project is discontinued and the email list is no longer needed;
- we are legally required to delete the data.
We may retain limited records necessary to prove consent, unsubscribe status, or compliance with legal obligations, where required or appropriate under applicable law.
